Abbajay Automated Control Systems Named Exclusive Representative of
LiteTouch in Central and Southern Oregon

BEND, Ore. – (Sept. 8, 2005) – David Abbajay, president of Abbajay Automated Control Systems, has announced that his company has been named the exclusive representative of LiteTouch systems in Central and southern Oregon.

“I’m very excited to represent the LiteTouch products in our region,” said Abbajay, former owner of the Feed Barn in Bend and Redmond. “LiteTouch offers a high quality line of products that are great options for anyone building or remodeling a home or commercial complex in Central and southern Oregon.”

Abbajay is particularly excited to be working with the LiteTouch product line because it makes so much sense for the modern home or commercial building. According to Abbajay, the average upscale home can use at least 34,000 watts of power spread out over thousands of square feet, including individual light fixtures, appliances, wiring for sound and sophisticated media and computer equipment, motorized controls for ceiling fans, skylights, blinds and window systems, and more sophisticated accessories like TV lifts and towel warmers.

“It all adds up to an abundance of lights, systems and devices that need to work together seamlessly if all this amazing technology is going to truly enhance our lifestyle,” said Abbajay, “and that’s what the LiteTouch system does.”

LiteTouch helps homeowners and building managers manage their environments more closely and more conveniently, Abbajay explained. “From a control panel, you access preset systems, sometimes with a single button.”

For example, a button coded “Good Morning” can reset a thermostat to a comfortable daytime temperature, turn off exterior lighting, turn on the kitchen light and start coffee brewing, and open drapes and blinds throughout the home. Other typical buttons are “Movie,” which closes drapes, slow fans, turns off music, lowers a projection screen from the ceiling, dims the room lights and starts the DVD. The system can also be programmed to adjust lighting, heating and sprinkler systems for long-term absences from the home or building, adding additional security and creating cost-savings. LiteTouch even offer an option that includes an Internet portal so properties can be monitored remotely.

Abbajay, who has a background as a software engineer with several high tech companies, is very excited about bringing this new resource to Central and southern Oregon.

“LiteTouch is a state-of-the-art resource that’s a great way to enhance a home,” he said. “It helps create moods and enhance spaces as well as being a great convenience to busy people today.”

And it has very practical applications, he said. “Imagine having a home or commercial building with pathway lights that are activated when the smoke alarm goes off, helping guide people to exits. Or having a system that automatically adjusts indoor lighting to take advantage of natural light during the day, reducing electricity bills and using natural resources more responsibly.”

One of the most valuable aspects of LiteTouch is its flexibility and the ability to create custom solutions, Abbajay said. “They offer a broad selection of products for every situation. It all depends on identifying the goals – what the customer needs and wants -- and creating a custom solution that meets the objectives.”
